Manufacturers….manufacturers EVERYWHERE!!! DTM and Super GT have announced that both of their regulation packages will be based on this years DTM specs. What does this mean? The possibility of Nissan, Toyota (Lexus) and Honda facing of with Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi in DTM events and visa versa. This also makes both series more attractive to other manufacturers. Lotus, Aston Martin, Chevrolet, Porsche? I’m hypothesizing here obviously. But as demonstrated the V8 series. If you present series specs that call for relative performance parity….manufacturers WILL come. Revamping the V8 series will see Nissan and Mercedes join the Holden and Food show for 2013. The world two greatest touring car series will continue to put on a show for years to come. Moreover my predictions for this years 2012 season were slightly off. Paffet and Spengler are in the running for the tile at this weekends Hockenhiem GP. I predicted Paffet as Champ; I hope I’m wrong. I also said BMWs season will be a development campainged. Definately wrong on that one. While last in the manufacturers points, Spengler’s had 3 wins and a shot at the title, Farfus has 1 win and will take the rookie crowd over my ambitious prediction of Robert Wickens.

Immature driving from the start of the Valencia GP.
Speedtv for the first time in frickin who knows how long had something good on (live). I knew when it was on….and yet I managed to miss the start. Which I was ok with. Then 3 laps from the end I fell asleep 😦 (it was like 2am). But this is what I missed. EPIC. V8 Superscars rarely disappoint. This is the Indy 500, Daytona 500 Lemans of Aussie racing. To have a finish like that after 1000kms is unbelievable.
