Portraits of CIAS 2013

I’ve found the Autoshow to provide great photo opportunities.  Unfortunately, the background ruins a lot of the shots.  I’ve tried to go for up close photos to fix that.  Practice, practice, practice.  I honestly didn’t think I’d be uploading my own photos as much as I have lately.  More to come!!

Work’s for sale!

Need something new for next season? Here is your chance. We seem to have a set of wheels for sale…shocking.


I picked these up off their original owner recently. The wheels are in great overall shape and are still original (sticker, seals, bolts, valve stems, etc.) All the bolts, centre caps, etc. can be had new from Work if one were inclined but that would only be if you wanted to re-do them. As they are the condition is GOOD. The lips have some usual clear coat imperfections but I actually didn’t even notice until after I washed and dried them. The paint of the faces is near flawless. 2 of the rear lips have some minor curb (I can’t even call it rash), nothing some light sanding wouldn’t COMPLETELY clear up.

I would say these wheels are an 8-8.5/10

The tires have decent tread left, especially the fronts, but they are from 2002 so they are starting to crack a little. They are basically a throw in but if you are serious about buying I can have them removed.

Price:

$2600 or best reasonable offer. These wheels retail for the same cost as LMs, and from what I can gather these are harder to come by (although not harder to find parts for as Work still makes them). I am not looking for trades unless it’s something very unique. If they don’t sell I will replace my LMs with them next year.

H2O International 2012 | Scraped Crusaders | Part 1

My part one from this years trip to Ocean City.

This year seemed to be a total 180 from what we came down into last year. Nearly no rain, clear skies, nice weather, and a hell of a lot of dope cars. It seemed this year the outcasts were even more prevalent then years before.

I do still have to produce the show footage. Coming back from that weekend with a folder sized at over 40gb, I have had my work cut out for me, both with photos and a whole lot of video after feeling terrible for not having much last year.

Scraped does Eurokracy

The first roadtrip of the year is complete.  There were a few hiccups on the way though.  My Subaru decided to wearout a wheelbearing in the most inconvienent time so she was MIA.  NBD, I got to ride shotgun in Steve’s E30, which later won Best BMW at the show. 🙂  Kristoff chewed through a oil pan on the way.  Spare pan in the form of JB Weld was used.  Weather was AWESOME, cars were AWESOME, the women were French=AWESOME.  EuroKracy seems to have grown 4-5 fold since the first event last year.  This seems optimistic when I say this but I can see it growing into Canada’s H20.  More coverage in a bit.

Stretch and Poke 2012: Fitted

We braved the intensely overcast sky yesterday to attend the first Stretch and Poke show of 2012. Having attended MOST of these events in the past it is safe to say this show has grown exponentially and there doesn’t seem to be any sign of that changing.

Strech & Poke

Stretch & Poke is almost upon us.  First one “Fitted” is May 27th.  Most, if not all of our guys will be there.  The first Stretch and Poke is always a good way to see the local cars that will be making the show rounds for the summer.

The second event is on June 3rd.  We’ll do our best to sttend.  But a conflict of shows might not let that happen.  We will try our best.

Superstars Series

This relatively new series is quickly becoming one of my favourites.  In my eyes, this is the formula DTM should be run with.  Big sedans that are still closely related to their road going counterparts.  While the high tech DTM cars are amazing, they differ too much from road cars.  This Superstar series reminds me of DTM in the late 80’s early 90’s.

Jaguar, Mercedes, Chrysler, Chevrolet, Maserati, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Lexas and Porsche are all eligible to race.  I haven’t picked a favourite yet.  Though I do find it funny watching the 300c lumbering around the track.  Surprisingly, it’s actually competitive.  One thing I don’t like are the fast and furious wing.  I’d lik to see ome proper gt wings and swan necks.


Best thing about the series though, is undoubtedly the sound…..
