Keswick, Ontario. Home of Sterling Tire. Worth the drive. I was in need of some rear rubber. Since I ran 215 40s in the rear last year. I wanted a slightly chunkier chunkier 205 40 to keep the outer diameter and rake the same as last year. Ended up with Nexens. Almost identical size to my previous setup. I had planned on taking more photos but found out the hardest part about taking photos is just remembering to take more photos. lol. I seem to do that all the time. Dave and I shared photo duty. Still only managed 4 good ones. We did catch Jimmy from Pfaff Tuning in his M3, on the way back to Toronto. OOhhh lawwwwddd. That e92 sounded good.
This idea came about pretty fast. After viewing an Air Society post about Eurokracy’s Hotel of choice. I mentioned the Scraped.Crusaders. contingency of 20 or so people strong. Rick from Air Society quickly replied with an “if you organize it, they will come” proposal for a Toronto to Montreal cruise. So…. we’re doing it.

So are we handing the title to Ogier already? Jebus. From one dominating Frenchman to another. He leads heading into Day 2. Fun Fact: This is Ken Block’s only rally of the year. He’s doing quite well. For a guy that picked up rallying as a hobby late in his 30’s, to be even on the same page as a WRC regular is amazing.

Before looking into the event itself. Lets look at the changes to the V8 Supercars for the 2013 season. They look similar on the outside but many changes went into this new generation.
Introduction to the new season.
Highlights from qualifying and Shane Van Gisbergen’s Pole lap.
Lana Del Rey and Skrillex soundtrack? I can deal with that. The sounds coming out of the tailpipe aren’t bad either.

We’ve posted his amazing videos before. Everything is better in slow motion.
The man with legs the size of my torso talks about the man with the balls the size of watermelons. Velodrome star Chris Hoy narrates the story of WRC legend Colin McRae. “When in doubt, flatout”.
Hey Farva…what’s the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy shit? Video shot and edited my Matt Morana.
Mark your calendars folks. We’re heading again this year for sure.
Change of the guards. I think this is the rally the torch is passed from Sebastien to Sebastien. You shouldn’t be able to lead the Swedish rally without 1. A proven rally car 2. Scandinavian heritage. Ogier is doing without either. It’s rather impressive.
As the Fins say.
I’d watch hours of these aerial views. Hairpins never looked so good.
